After Bad Luck, Ducks Do Devils at Autzen

And with this week marking Veteran’s Day, what a treat it was to receive this pic from Duck Fan SSG Leonhardy. Here is his Forward Observer platoon from 1-77 AR FT Bliss Texas giving what is obviously a BIG GO DUCKS!! Well, I was way off on my prediction for last week….as were most people. Came close on the Duck side though. I was really shocked that we couldn’t stop their run game. That’s usually what we focus on first. Yeah, Gerhart is a beast and a great running back but we had Blount on the Scout team. We knew they used 7 linemen. I thought we would have been better prepared on defense. At least cause a few turn-overs or something.
Anyway, I agree with you guys and like our chances of winning out, even at Arizona. They are really good at home but we are much better this year on defense than we were last year. ASU was surprising this past week holding USC to 14. I think they might give us trouble and hold us below our 39 point average. But, I think we could shut them out completely. Here’s my prediction: 35-3. I give them 3 on a lucky long field goal. As far as the uniforms go, I like your call for the green helmet, yellow jersey, green pants but, after playing around with the Uniform Picker on OregonLive.com, I like black helmet, black jersey, and steel pants. ….that’s right, going with the Raiders look. I also agree that the Carbon helmets should come out for Az on the road with the steel pants and the white jersey and gray #s.

I hadn’t really considered the “Raiders” look for the Ducks – but I have to admit, it would be pretty sick. I’d like to see the throwbacks again this season… preferably against the BeavTrash.

And – now that it’s Veterans Day – I want to personally thank the Troops for the unbelievable sacrifices they make for us on a daily basis that allow lucky Ducks like us the enduring freedom to sit around and do GoDucks Podcasts and other relatively silly shit.
