Ducks Ready to Black Out and Break Some Trojans
This week Lord Beverage and Muchas G take a quick look back at the Fusky Huckin’ and turn their sights forward to an All Hallow’s Ween showdown with USC in the Mother Ship.
Ducks Fans, check out our photo essay “Walk of Victory in the Belly of the Beast.”

And since a couple of people asked for it, here’s the link to download the song from last week. Right click, save as. You can listen to it as many times as you want, as long as you sing along.

The game this week has to be the biggest in ages. What are the odds of two top 10 teams meeting up on Halloween? It’s going to be insane. I’ll be watching this one from home (unfortunately) with one of my boys. Going to black out the house so we don’t get bothered during the game by kids wanting candy.
Right on N1tr0 – if you do happen to get any trick or treaters see if you can’t get a little Go Ducks out of them for us.
Loving that Go Ducks song. It gives me goose bumps every time I play it. I’m homebound as well this weekend w/ the kids for Halloween here in N.Cal, I’m gonna try to use a combination of Tivo, efficient use of halftime, trick or treating on our own street, and score updates on my phone to stay on top of this one. Go Ducks!!
Dear Husky,
I just now saw your posts last week. I am a Husky Alum who lived many years in Eugene after graduation. I can therefore legitimately be a fan of both school’s sports teams and Football is my number 1.
Let me tell you why I think Duck fans can say that with other Pac 10 teams it is a friendly hate and with the Huskies it is a nasty hate. It is not as you suggested jealousy. Heck, many of today’s fans have a difficult time remembering that period of Husky dominance.
A big part of the reason (and just maybe the whole reason) is that the Husky fans that travel to Autzen every other year are horrible. My first year in Eugene I went as an alum; sat in the husky section, the whole nine yards. I had to walk through the east parking lot to get to the stadium from my house(the visiting section is in the south east of Autzen’s bowl). Those folks who traveled were embarrassing, haughty, arrogant sums-a-bitches. They embarrassed me and embarrassed themselves. Over the years I lived there I saw many a Husky game in that stadium and the Seattle travelling fans (at least the ones who ended up in the parking lot – motor homes, etc) were always a self important, stuck-up, puffed-up, rude, embarrassment.
My two cents,
I have attended the last two games and absolutely loved seeing the looks on the Huskies’ and Trojans’ faces after the games. Priceless! The Ducks bent them both over and gave ‘em the middle feather.
