This week Lord Beverage and Muchas G discuss the Ducks victory over UCLA and the shape of the season heading into a bye this weekend. The pair talk about team injuries and depth on the roster, dish out a Duck You, and look ahead to 2 weeks of Huckin’ the Fuskies.

GO DUCKS!!

Awesome reference to The Program. Great movie. By the way, it’s Steve Lattimer… and that dude was a beast.
“…’the pick’ was the defining moment of the program.”
- Lord Beverage
“The reason I am a duck fan is to hate the Huskies.”
- Muchas G
Good to know that your program finally found some “definition” in the mid 1990’s, little bit late though, as several Pac-10 programs were able to find esteem well before then. In fact, I was tickled to learn that Oregon had such a problem succeeding in the Pac-10 that they actually left the conference to go “independent” from 1959-63.
Oh by the way, after the “defining pick” you were crushed 38-20 by Penn state in the Rose Bowl. In fact, if my memory serves me correctly, the ducks have only won a single rose bowl game, in 1917.
Love,
Matthew
I love the Husky fans that reference the lone Rose Bowl win!! They seem to forget that the 2002 Fiesta was our Rose Bowl!!! At the time the National Championship was at the Rose Bowl and we got screwed out of it. In all reality, all BCS games are created equal. I am sure if the normal Rose Bowl were played that year we would have handled Illinois….oh they were so good that year….we only throttled the red hot Buffaloes. We would have killed any other BCS team that year other than Miami.
That is the trouble with you husky fans, you are still living in the past. I am really looking forward to beating you again this year
for how many times in a row? Final score : 0regon by at least 40. and over 500 yards of offense. I wanted to say 600, they have every
bit as bad a defense as WSU and ASU.
Love,
Dan
Hey go to http://www.goduckspodcast.com and see the rest of these guys stuff. It’s hilarious. I think this is their worst podcast of the season – they’re normally even better.
GO DUCKS!!!
ps. Mathew, you’re a pathetic Husky fan if you’re spending time on a Ducks podcast site!!!
Leave it to a lowly Fusky to distort the facts. The Rose Bowl in ‘95? It was tied midway through the 3rd quarter and I was sitting with lots of Penn State fans who were getting extremely nervous. The only reason the final score was so lopsided was the Ducks going for it on fourth and long late in the fourth quarter deep in their own territory – and giving up an easy score. And let’s not even talk about Kijana Carter’s opening touchdown. Chad Cota was held right in front of the ref with no call. (The zebra probably went to UW.)
There are plenty of things to bash the Ducks about. The Rose Bowl in 95 wasn’t one of them.
For the Fuskie’s enlightenment – just as history can point to 1500 A.D. as the beginning of the Renaissance vis a vis the Dark Ages/Middle Ages, the Ducks can point to “The Pick” in 1994 as their own renaissance – that it happened vs. the Fuskies was that much more memorable.
I’m sure you recall Steve Harvey’s “Bottom 10″ back in the 70s in which both the Ducks and the Beavs, Kansas and K-St. resided. I would think that the Fuskies, if you were real men, would give us credit for dragging ourselves out of the depths of the NCAA football alsorans and onto the National scene, upgrading your own, and other teams of the PAC-10s “strength of schedule.” But no such love coming from Fuskiedom – why? – because we are the Ducks!! – the thorn in your fanciful side – nay, the Thor’s Hammer that has beaten you down into humility!!
I just thought I’d remind the Purple Poodle on here that Oregon has won the last 5 straight matchups with UW by an average score of 42-17.
The numbers don’t lie… and Kenny Wheaton’s gonna score!!!
Hey Matthew, as stated, talk trash when your team wins a game worth a s_ _ t. All of sudden you little poop eatin’ poodles think that because you win three games that you have a right to start talkin’ trash. Guess what…wrong! Get to a bowl in at least three consecutive years and then you can start with some baby talk. Oh, Penn State did not whoop our ass, in fact it was a battle up until six minutes left in the fourth. We played great and no one can take that away from us. What is a team going to do against arguably the best Penn St. team in the school history, a school of tradition and whoopin everyone’s ass? Joe Pa has said himself that is probably the best team he has ever had. By the way, you ready to see your beloved Locker get knocked out again. Only way your offense scores against this Duck D is if our Offense hands you the ball six times and lets you walk into the end zone…think about that!!! And if that miracle game happens for you this year I will paint my Johnson purple and gold and walk through the UofO campus.
I love the responses, thank you so very much. Evident as usual is the vitriol in the ducks collective voice. The voice of the little ugly red-headed step brother who wants to be great, and perhaps one day will, but is still just a climber, with his lone Rose Bowl title. You see, we Huskies are just a more contended sort; 7 rose bowl titles, superior school, superior city, we don’t get bogged down in your small minded provincialism.
I’ll give you the last five years, but will keep the previous 95, and look forward to the next 100 years of total domination.
Re: Feathers McQuack – if you can’t take my heat, stay out of the kitchen brother!
All best wishes, Husky
And so it begins. My hatred for the Huskies is going to be so strong by kickoff. The Ducks D is going to neuter Jake locker and the little purple poodles in their own house. God I cant wait! Huck The Fuskies and Go Ducks!
And Before you stained coffee teeth douches up in Seattle start running your mouth on the Oregon sites just remember….
